ABOUT
The Dade County Council of Teachers of Mathematics (DCCTM) is a non-profit organization which promotes the improvement of mathematics instructional programs through cooperation and communication among the educators of mathematics in Miami-Dade County. DCCTM also provides direction and feedback to policy makers regarding mathematics issues and initiatives; and affiliate with national organizations when such affiliation seems beneficial to teaching mathematics.
DCCTM, An Affiliate of FCTM
The Purpose of Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics, (FCTM) is to:

promote the improvement of instructional programs of mathematics in Florida;

promote cooperation and communication among the teachers of mathematics in Florida, and;

affiliate with national organizations when such affiliation seems beneficial to the interest of teaching of mathematics.
FCTM, An Affiliate of NCTM
National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, (NCTM) is a public voice of mathematics education, providing vision, leadership, and professional development to support teachers in ensuring mathematics learning of the highest quality for all students. It was founded in 1920, NCTM is the world’s largest mathematics education organization, with 100,000 members and 250 Affiliates throughout the United States and Canada.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
At DCCTM, we are recognize the importance of increasing teacher capacity and pedagogy. We promote and offer professional development opportunities to our members and educators in conjunction with MDCPS. We are always striving to make a difference in education, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
MATH COMPETITION
For over 30 years, our organization has promoted the love for learning mathematics through various events, but none more so than the Math Bowl. This annual event brings hundreds of local students from both the public and private sector to compete in various activities involving mathematics.
